durrrr Poker Challenge Page from Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt has just unveiled a brand new informative site covering all the details of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an exciting online heads up challenge involving some of the finest big money poker players competing against the online poker phenom Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The new website section offers poker players and fanatics the chance to follow this amazing online poker challenge and get timely updates. With this innovative “durrrr Challenge” site poker players can follow all the poker action and look at each poker hand played during this poker challenge, and look at lots of statistics, including how many hands were played, session time, cash won, average won during each hand and lots more.

Close to six months ago, the 23 year old online poker phenom delivered a heads-up poker challenge open to any player with the loot, time and capability to accept it. Any poker player entering the poker challenge has to wager $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Tom’s challenge states that a minimum 50,000 hands need to be played simultaneously at 4 or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the poker challenge, the player who has more money will secure the pool. Basically if you enter the challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 poker hands, then you will earn durrrr’s $1.5 Million, but if he succeeds by $1 then he will take your $500,000.

So far, some poker pros have accepted to play the “durrrr challenge”, including seven-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, however, only Patrick Antonius has accepted the durrrr challenge. Until now, both poker stars have participated in a total of 20,647 hands out of 50,000, with Dwan ahead $726,546 total.

Online Poker Scandal will be featured on Television

This Sunday evening CBS will premiere their special “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This special program was created after a 16-week research into the online Texas Hold’em poker business and particularly a con with the online poker website Absolute Poker.

This Texas Hold’em page was inspected after a number of the poker players on the site claimed that someone was unjustly winning an incredible amount of cash. Todd Witteles was a major player in this research, according to Witteles; he was losing huge amounts of money to the exact same poker player. Witteles alleges that this player was raising against awfully good cards, the majority of people would have presumed he was just giving his money to the other players, but he was in reality winning many poker hands.

Witteles was correct about his suppositions, it was later shown that a poker player possibly working for the company was able to spy on any poker player’s poker hole cards. At first, Absolute Poker stated that nothing was wrong with the site or the Texas Hold’em competitor. After several players moved forward with accusations, the poker site studied deeper into the cheating problem and found the problem.

In January of this year, the Kahnawake Gaming Commision came across what the Texas Hold’em poker players and the Texas Hold’em website had suspected all along. The investigation proved that, there was an employee who had hacked the Texas Hold’em poker room’s security and was competing unlawfully for more or less six weeks. The investigation proved that the Texas Hold’em room had not benefited from the illegal transactions whatsoever, and was definitely not implicated.

These scams are further testimony that there needs to be more guidelines in regards to poker pages. The United States government needs to license and control the online gaming business to look after these upright clients. These control measures would also control the admission to these webpages by children, which is turning into another concern these days.

Possibly when you refer to online Texas Hold’em poker with them, they would perhaps visualize some acquaintances lounging around their living room table having conversations and drinking alcohol. They also may consider Texas Hold’em to be a game of fate rather than skill, more similar to a game of craps compared to chess, for example.

So the big question mark there is: “Could I possibly make a living by playing poker?”. Believe it or not, there are folks who actually earn a living this way. A number of folks not just make a profit by playing online poker, but also earn some big bucks by playing poker. The first thing you have to remember about online poker is that while you can play in a LV casino, beside craps tables and slot machines; in online poker you are not contending against the house but against other online Texas Hold’em poker rivals. Hence, in all reality, you are gambling your poker chips against other contenders in a competition of expertise unlike a game of luck.

You could be saying to yourself: “Doesn’t luck play a part?” Naturally in online poker, nobody has any idea which poker cards will be dealt out.
